THE HOPKINS GLOBAL NETWORK

Johns Hopkins University has over 10,000 alumni living outside of the U.S. Additionally, over a 12 month period, Hopkins served over 3,600 international patients from 139 different countries.

Hopkins International has affiliations in Latin America, Turkey, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Portugal and other countries which help maintain a constant international exchange of information.

LOCAL RESOURCES

The Lieber Institute for Brain Development, a research foundation at the Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins, currently has global research collaborations with University of Bari (Bari, Italy), Peking University (Beijing, China), Bispebjerg University Hospital (Copenhagen, Denmark), and Medical University of Sofia and the Medical Center for Active Treatment (Sofia, Bulgaria).

Maryland BioTechnology Center: serves to integrate entrepreneurial strategies in order to stimulate the transformation of scientific discovery and intellectual assets into capital formation and business development.

Maryland Israel Development Center: an energetic hub of people and activities engaged in promoting Maryland/Israel trade and investment. The largest international business network in the Mid-Atlantic! At WTCI, we strive to drive the growth of Maryland’s global business community through our global connections, events, and extensive international business services.

Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore: The go-to economic development organization focused on business attraction, retention and development, job creation, workforce development and new investment in the Baltimore region.

Greater Baltimore Committee: A 500 member regional organization committed to improve the regions business climate and competitiveness.

TEDCO: Created by the Maryland Legislature in 1998, its programs facilitate the transfer and commercialization of technology and formation of new businesses in Maryland.

Maryland Department of Commerce: The States primary economic development agency, and an invested partner in the Science and Technology Park at Johns Hopkins.
